Volkswagen has prepared a universal version of Arteon, which is intended for the Chinese market

Actually, the car was caught by spies in the Middle Kingdom, since the official presentation has not yet taken place. A curious detail: the car runs under the name Volkswagen CC Travel Edition. That is, the name Arteon does not appear here at all. If you dig a little history of the brand, then the Volkswagen Arteon, released in 2017, replaced the Volkswagen CC, which was originally built in the style of the pioneer of the four-door coupe class of the Mercedes-Benz CLS. All the salt is that Mercedes has recently produced in the body of a jailbreak break. In all likelihood, Volkswagen wanted to return to their former names and keep up with the trends.

Chinese media have reported that the new product will be equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine in two ways: 186 hp and 320 Nm or 220 hp and 350 Nm. As a transmission, a proprietary 7-speed “robot” is used, for an extra charge it is planned to offer four-wheel drive. Whether the novelty will go beyond the Chinese market is unknown.
