UAZ management changed the plan to resume car production after the New Year holidays. Initially, it was assumed that the production of cars in 2020 will begin in January, but now it has become known that the conveyor will start operating normally on February 10. About this with reference to the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant reports “Autostat”.
At the same time, it was noted at UAZ that there would be no shortage of cars at the time of suspension of production, as dealers “were provided with a sufficient number of cars.” In January, an inventory is planned at the enterprise, as well as a set of preventive works.
It was previously reported that in April 2020, UAZ will begin selling a new modification of the Pickup model – with an automatic transmission. This is a six-speed 6L50 Punch Powerglide transmission made in France, which is already offered for the Patriot SUV.
