The Japanese concern has applied for the registration of a name for an all-terrain vehicle, which could become the ideological heir to the cult FJ Cruiser
Toyota has filed a patent application with 4Active at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Unfortunately, at the moment there are no comments from the manufacturer, however, some assumption can still be made.
It’s worth starting with the fact that in the lineup of the brand there is already the name 4Runner, which is assigned to the famous SUV. Our colleagues from Motor1 suggest that 4Active can be called a model with an off-road character, but lighter and more compact – a crossover for an active lifestyle.
Interestingly, the serial Toyota 4Active may turn out to be a production version of the FT-4X concept, which the company demonstrated at an exhibition in New York in 2017. The appearance of the then prototype was replete with references to some cult models of the concern, including the famous FJ Cruiser.
