Volkswagen introduced an updated model for the Russian market. We will not have a diesel engine.
The updated Volkswagen Passat will soon go on sale in Russia. Today, the company spoke about the level of equipment of the car and its line of engines.
Today sold in Russia Passat equipped with four engines: 125-, 150- and 180-horsepower gasoline TSI a volume of 1.4 and 1.8 liters, as well as a 2-liter turbodiesel unit with a capacity of 150 hp With the upgrade, the number of available engines will be halved. The weakest gasoline engine and turbodiesel will leave the line.
Updated Passat will be offered with two turbocharged gasoline engines. This is a familiar 1.4-liter engine with a capacity of 150 hp, as well as boosted to 190 hp. 1.8 liter unit. The first engine will be combined with a mechanical 6-speed gearbox, as well as a robotic DSG-7. A more powerful engine will only be paired with a robot.
Outwardly, the novelty can be distinguished by new bumpers and a radiator grill. The company said that the car will be equipped with LED headlights in all trim levels, and the IQ.Light LED matrix headlights with adaptive high-beam control are offered as an option.
Also updated Passat for Russia will receive a number of driver assistance systems. Thanks to them, it becomes possible, in part, to ride autonomously at speeds of up to 210 km / h. It is also announced about the new Discover Pro multimedia system with a 9.2-inch touch screen, navigation and gesture control function, as well as a digital dashboard.
On sale updated Vw Passat will be received only in the spring of 2020, so prices for it have not yet been announced. Today, the model is offered in Russia at a price of 1 909 000 rubles, and the version with a 150-horsepower engine costs at least 1 932 780 rubles – a mechanical box is not provided for it (only DSG-7).
