In 2019, Euro NCAP protested 55 cars, of which 41 received the highest rating of five stars. At the same time, like last year, the title of the safest car in the Compact Family Cars category went to the Mercedes-Benz CLA. The protection of adult passengers in the designer sedan was rated at 96 percent, children and pedestrians at 91, and the work of assist systems at 75 percent.
In the “Big SUV” category, Tesla Model X won. Another Tesla – Model 3 sedan – became the best in two categories at once: “The safest hybrid and electric car” and “Big family car.” In the second case, Model 3 shared the first line with the BMW 3 Series.
