The Russian government has thought about the next increase in utilization fee

“After some time – from 2021 or from 2022 – the utilization fee will be indexed. The dynamics of customs duties will be in the corridor, which is agreed with the WTO (World Trade Organization). Here is the question of motivation. For our part, we will try to launch additional investment support mechanisms, and companies know this, ”said Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov in an interview with the publication Interfax.

He also advised companies that intend to remain in the Russian market not to delay production localization. This will allow them to compensate for the collection due to subsidies from the state. The Minister has not yet said how much it is planned to increase rates in the future.
