The number of cars in the Moscow car sharing system has doubled – from 14.5 thousand cars in 2018 to 31 thousand in 2019. This was announced at a press conference by the head of the capital’s department of transport, Maxim Liksutov, Autonews.ru correspondent reports.
As previously reported, in 2019, the Russian capital took first place in the world in terms of the size of its short-term car rental fleet. Moscow was ahead of cities such as Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai, with about 20 thousand cars in their car fleets.
In Moscow in 2019, car-sharing customers made more than 36 million trips in rented cars, which is approximately one and a half times more than in 2018.
