Federal law came into force with new rules for state registration of vehicles. It is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
There are several innovations. In particular, additional marking is provided. This will allow “unambiguously identifying vehicles” with a changed history, and buyers will not need to check the car.
If the owner is under 16 years old, the car will be drawn up by his legal representatives. Having become an adult, the owner will be able to re-register the vehicle.
Register a new car is now allowed on the day of purchase. The dealership will issue a certificate of registration of the vehicle and its number.
The registration period for cars temporarily imported from another country is doubled – up to a year.
A special procedure has also been established for designing prototypes of new models that are being tested on the roads.
