The latest Mark X in the Final Edition version is painted white and is equipped with a 203-strong “aspirated” V6 with a volume of 2.5 liters. The longitudinally mounted engine works in tandem with a six-band automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
The model lasted on the conveyor for more than half a century and replaced 11 generations. Initially, it was produced under the name Toyota Mark II, and in 2004 it was replaced by Mark X. For 51 years, 6 518 000 copies of the Mark II and 363 500 were collected – Mark X, with 3.5 million of them produced at Toyota Motomachi. In different years, the lineup included sedans, station wagons and coupes.
The fact that the brand intends to abandon the further production of the sedan became known in the spring of this year. Then it was reported that the model will not have a successor, and the execution of the Final Edition will be the last and will cost 3.3 million yen (about 1.9 million rubles).
