Maserati has officially unveiled the mild-hybrid version of the Levante SUV: 2.0-liter gasoline engine, electric compressor and 48 V mild-hybrid system.
After launching a mild-hybrid version of the Ghibli model, Maserati continues to electrify the model range with the Levante SUV. The new model, called the Levante Hybrid, was unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show.
Maserati Levante Hybrid – mild-hybrid engine
Maserati Levante Hybrid combines the 4-cylinder, 2-liter engine with a 48-volt hybrid system to recover energy during deceleration and braking. The system also uses an electric compressor called eBooster. The hybrid car weighs less than the equivalent of a 6-cylinder engine (both diesel and petrol).
The mild-hybrid engine offers 330 hp and 450 Nm of torque, which allows the Levante Hybrid to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 6 seconds, and the maximum speed that can be reached is 240 km / h.
The launch version also introduces a new color shade for the body called Azzuro Astro, available through the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program.
David Beckham, the new global ambassador of the Italian brand, was also present at the presentation of the new model.
