The Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor – the company Maruti Suzuki – will release a serial crossover with a design in the style of the Futuro-e concept car presented last week in New Delhi
The prototype has an unusual appearance in a sporty style – it has a sloping roof line, massive sidewalls, small windows, a high hood and fully LED optics. In terms of dimensions, the experimental Suzuki is comparable to the compact Hyundai Creta. Futuro-e was shown as a slow-moving model without a deep study of the technical stuffing, stating that it was an electric car.
A production car with this design Suzuki Motor will release in a couple of years. The target market for this model will be precisely India, where Suzuki has a very strong position, however, there is information that the model can become global. According to some reports, the production version of Futuro-e will be equipped with gasoline and diesel engines. The modernized DDiS225 (volume 1.5 l) can become a diesel engine, engineers bring it to Euro-6 standards. At Suzuki itself, they are hinting at hybrid and purely electric engines.
