Subaru plans to use the Tokyo Auto Salon exhibition to present the second-generation Levorg station wagon STI modification. In preparation for this event, the Japanese brand published a short prototype video teaser with the STI logo at the stern. This will be the second concept, designed to give an idea of Levorg next generation. The first company showed in October this year at the Tokyo Motor Show. The novelty will enter the market under the name Subaru Levorg STI Sport.
According to preliminary information, the “charged” version of Levorg will be equipped with a 2.0-liter “boxer” with a capacity of 300 hp. The company will present a production model in 2021 or 2022. A number of external elements Levorg STI Sport will borrow from the prototype Viziv Tourer, which debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The second-generation Subaru Levorg will be built on the Subaru Global Platform (SGP), a global modular platform that is used in several new models of the brand, including Impreza. The base station wagon will be equipped with a 1.8-liter turbo engine with a capacity of about 270 hp. and all-wheel drive.
