State Duma deputies are preparing to consider an amendment to the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO), according to which Moscow traffic inspectors will be suspended from punishing drivers for a number of traffic violations, reports Avtovzglyad.
What fines will have to be paid in 2020?
The document provides for the transfer of authority to draw up protocols and collect fines in the territory of Moscow to metropolitan officials.
According to the publication, the names of the authors of the initiative are not known, because in the electronic database of the State Duma there is not a single signature under the document. It is noted that the amendments suggest that the traffic police will not be able to issue fines for such violations as driving without a vehicle inspection, an unfastened seat belt, speeding, driving at a red traffic light, driving into the oncoming lane, talking on the phone while driving, and others.
The author of the article emphasizes that, in fact, traffic inspectors plan to leave the right to “catch drunk people and make accidents”. At the same time, he noted that if the traffic police are not interested “in the amount of money collected from motorists,” then city officials will most likely try to replenish the budget.
“What a simple and effective business plan: more restrictions for the driver – more fines for their violation – higher budget revenue. Beauty! ”- the article says.
At the same time, the journalist emphasizes that the probability of adoption of amendments by parliamentarians is very high.
