Skoda has decided on the name of its first all-electric model. The new crossover was named Enyaq

The name comes from the Irish name Enya, which means “source of life.” In the name of the model, the brand decided to combine the letter “E”, which indicates the electrification of the car, and “Q”, which speaks of the relationship with the other crossovers in the company’s portfolio: Karoq, Kodiaq and Kamiq.

The future model will be based on a modular platform, which the Volkswagen group has developed specifically for its electric cars. Externally, the car will resemble the conceptual cross-coupe Vision iV, which debuted at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. As a power plant, the prototype used electric motors for each axis with a total capacity of 306 horsepower. From zero to 100 kilometers per hour, such a crossover can accelerate in 5.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 180 kilometers per hour.
