In 2020, Russian fans of the Skoda brand will enjoy good news. The Czech manufacturer will introduce new models in our market, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
In the first quarter, sales of the Karoq crossover will begin. The premiere of this car took place at the end of 2019. At first, the novelty will be available only with a 1.4-liter turbo engine with 150 hp, an 8-speed gearbox and front-wheel drive. The price tag for the crossover will start from 1.515 million rubles. Then, customers will be offered Karoq options with a 1.6-liter engine with “mechanics” and a 6-speed “automatic”, as well as a 1.4-liter unit with a DSG robotic transmission and four-wheel drive.
At the beginning of the year, sales of the new Rapid will start. As before, the model will be offered on the Russian market with a 1.6-liter engine rated at 90 and 110 hp, which can be equipped with a mechanical or automatic transmission, as well as a 1.4-liter TSI engine rated at 125 hp . with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The initial cost of the new Rapid will be 829 thousand rubles.
In the fourth quarter, the Skoda family in Russia will join the new generation of Octavia. The premiere of this model took place in November last year. The car has changed externally, becoming closer to its premium Superb counterpart, as well as internally – the novelty has new options, including a digital dashboard, three-zone climate control, an automatic transmission instead of a lever, etc. About the family of engines and gearboxes as well as the cost of the new Octavia will be known closer to the start of sales.
