Comfortable and mature, Sportage is one of the most elaborate compact SUVs on the market. The 1.6-liter diesel engine meets the requirements of the Rabla program. But, like all the other models presented in this article, Kia offers a significant discount for all engines in the range.
Returning to the turbodiesel engine, it can be combined with the 6-speed manual transmission, or with the 7DCT automatic. In addition, it comes in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Although it has only 1.6 l, it develops a maximum torque of 320 Nm starting at 2000 rpm. The average WLTP consumption of 5.8 l / 100 km for the most affordable version is remarkable.
The starting price, of 16,483 euros, is for the 1.6 GDI 6MT 4 × 2 Plus version, which, although benefiting from Kia discounts, does not qualify for Rabla. The cheapest version through Rabla is 1.6 DSL Hybrid 6MT HP 4 × 2 Plus, at 17,599 euros.
Here is the most agile little hatch on the market. Rio enjoys such good settings for suspension and steering that the cornering incisiveness and, implicitly, safety, are at maximum levels in the segment.
