In Russia, despite the general market decline, premium car sales showed growth in 2019. This was reported by the analytical agency “Avtostat”. For 12 months, the volume of the premium segment amounted to 159.4 thousand cars. This figure is 5.1% more than in 2018.
The leader in the segment was the Mercedes-Benz brand, which sold 42 thousand cars last year. In second place ranking BMW. For 12 months, a German company sold 41.5 thousand of its cars in Russia. The first three closes the Japanese Lexus with an indicator of 22.4 sold cars in the premium segment.
In fourth and fifth place are Audi and Volvo. Last year, these companies sold 16.3 and 8.8 thousand of their cars on the Russian market, respectively. This is followed by Land Rover (8.7 thousand) and Porsche (6 thousand sold cars).
