Renault has officially announced that the new Kangoo Van will have an E-Tech Electric version powered by a 122 hp engine and a 45 kWh battery.
The Renault Kangoo Van light truck range will soon receive an electric version as well. The new Kangoo Van was officially unveiled in March, the new model bringing a number of innovations in the field of urban transport.
Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric
The first is called “Open Sesame, by Renault”. It is an optional equipment available on the right side of the car for the standard length and two-seater model. Open Sesame allows a side opening of 1,446 mm, twice as large as before, by eliminating the central upright. The passenger door opens at 90 degrees and the seat can be folded down.
The second innovation is called Easy Inside Rack and consists of a retractable shelf located in the upper part of the cargo area. Here you can store objects between 2 and 2.5 meters long. Kangoo Van has a load capacity that can reach 3.9 m3 and a payload of 600 kg (short version) or 1000 kg (long version).
The range will be enriched with an electric version called Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric. The engine used has 122 hp and 245 Nm and is powered by a 45 kWh battery. Renault says the range of the new utility model will be 300 kilometers.
The model has an 11 kW charger for AC power supplies, where a full charge takes 3 hours and 50 minutes. The model also supports fast loads up to 80 kW (optional).
The model has three types of regenerative braking: saling, drive and brake. Instead of the dashboard, the Kangoo E-Tech has a digital display taken from the Zoe model.
The transport capacity is identical to the Kangoo Van model with conventional engine: load volume of 3.9 cubic meters and a payload of 600 kilograms.
