PSA plans to export Opel cars assembled at a plant near Kaluga. This was reported by TASS with reference to the managing director of the brands Peugeot, Citroen and Opel in Russia Alexey Volodin. And it is still unknown which countries can send Russian-made cars.
“Our team unequivocally lays down export plans to develop its own industrial strategy, because without export plans it is impossible to recoup the investments that are required in order to be produced and sold in Russia successfully. Therefore, of course, we are building our strategy based, inter alia, on export, ”said Volodin.
At the moment, the plant in Kaluga is producing the Opel Zafira Life minivan. Later, production of the Opel Vivaro cargo van, which shares the platform with the Citroen Jumpy / Peugeot Expert, and differs from them only in the front part trim, should begin at this enterprise.
