Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin called for a more cautious approach to raising fines, because, for example, the introduction of penalties for speeding up to 5 thousand rubles will become unbearable for many motorists
“When developing the new Code of Administrative Offenses, it was proposed to increase the amount of fines for drivers for speeding up to 5 thousand rubles. For many, this is simply beyond the power. We have not yet achieved such an increase in salaries so as to increase fines so much, ”TASS quoted the head of government.
It is curious that earlier the first deputy chairman of the State Duma committee on state building and legislation, Vyacheslav Lysakov, appealed to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a request to postpone the introduction of a new draft Code on Administrative Offenses to the State Duma. The parliamentarian said that the proposal of the Ministry of Justice to increase fines, including for violation of traffic rules, caused a negative reaction both from specialists and civil society.
