In the narrow circles of the frontman, singer and songwriter of the Metallica band, James Hatfield is known as a customizer, restorer and collector of retrocars. Each car in the musician’s collection has its own name, no less original than the car itself – “Voodoo Priest”, “Iron Fist”, “Black Pearl”, “Skyscraper”, “Pink Ghost” and the like.
Ten cars from Hetfield’s personal collection will be part of the exposition of the famous Petersen Automobile Museum in Los Angeles. You can see the restored and modified musician Jaguar 1948, Auburn 1936, Ford Roadster 1932 and Lincoln Zephyr 1937 release will be from March 1 to October this year.
Together with the cars, the musician’s personal belongings will be put on public display – guitars, amplifiers and photos, including those depicting the process of building custom, and on May 5 a book called Reclaimed Rust: The Four-Wheeled Creations Of James Hetfield will be released, introducing readers to the car collection James Hatfield with musician comments.
