Nissan warned about stopping production of cars in Russia due to coronavirus


So far, there has been no interruption in the supply of automotive components to Russia, and the St. Petersburg plant is operating normally. Three models were launched there – Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano. The production capacity of the site is 100 thousand cars per year.

According to the analytic agency Auto-Dealer-SPb, in 2019 Nissan reduced car production in Russia, the brand accounted for 14 percent of car production in St. Petersburg. In addition to the Nissan plant, Toyota and Hyundai enterprises are located there, whose share is 20 and 66 percent, respectively.
