Nissan revealed details about Leaf 2020 for the Japanese market. Already in February, an updated electric car with an expanded set of driver assistance systems will enter the market.
Among the innovations is the advanced ProPilot technology, which is now able to maintain the required speed when driving on a slope, a parking assistant that helps the driver to maneuver and reduces parking time by 20 percent, as well as an intelligent blind spot monitoring system and a function for warning pedestrians about approaching with sound.
In addition to all of the above, the 9-inch screen of the multimedia system is now included in the list of standard equipment, and the color palette of the body has replenished with shades of Vivid Blue and Stealth Gray.

At the end of October, information appeared about the all-wheel drive Leaf modification with a twin-engine power plant. Four-wheel drive is planned to be implemented on the next-generation electric car: it will receive one electric motor on each axis, which in total give out 308 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque. The system allows you to independently control the braking of each of the four wheels, increasing the turning moment created by each tire.
