The fourth-generation crossover will debut in the second half of the year, will be designed on the Renault-Nissan alliance platform
Mitsubishi branch manager Bernard Loire revealed details about the new Outlander in an interview with Automotive News Europe. It should be noted that the top-manager did not give any specifics about the platform, saying that it will be a technology of the Renault-Nissan alliance. There is an assumption that the crossover will share the technical stuffing with the next-generation Nissan X-Trail and Qashqai. It is expected that the appearance of the new “Outlander” will be made based on last year’s Engelberg Tourer concept.
Bernard Loire announced another novelty during 2020 – the top manager mentioned a new crossover, more compact than the Outlander. In addition, official confirmation was given to reduce the range of diesel off-road vehicles: in 2020, ASX and Eclipse Cross will lose heavy fuel versions.
