While the crossover is listed in the concept status, the production version will reach the assembly line in the second half of this year. In the Indian market – this will be the third Kia model after Seltos and Carnival. In the future, Sonet will appear in other markets.
As for the technical part, not much is known about Sonet. The crossover must be compact – less than four meters in length to fit into the Indian tax system. The platform and engines the novelty will share with the Hyundai Venue crossover. In the motor line, presumably, there will be two gasoline and one diesel engine. In pair, they provide for “intelligent” mechanics.
It was not possible to make out the interior of the concept – the glass is very dark. Perhaps this decision of the manufacturer is due to an unprepared interior. However, Kia claims that Sonet will receive the largest interior in the class, an infotainment complex with a large 10.25-inch display and Bose speakers.
