From January to November 2019, 6,518 copies of Geely Atlas were sold on the Russian market, which is 198 percent more than the same period last year. The press service of the Chinese brand said that Atlas ranks fifth among all crossovers in the country in terms of percentage of sales growth.
According to Motor’s own information, in November Geely Atlas sold 677 copies. The best months for the model in 2019 were June, when dealers sold 751 crossovers, and October (730 cars). The least Atlases were sold in January – 361 copies. The crossover is also popular in foreign markets, where it took first place in the segment among Chinese brands (45,483 units were sold from January to October 2019).
Soon, Geely will bring to Russia Atlas Pro, which is already sold in China under the name Boyue Pro. But first, the Coolray compact crossover, which had previously received vehicle type approval, will enter the market. The novelty will be delivered from China, while Atlas is transported from the Belgi plant in Belarus.
In general, sales of Geely for 11 months amounted to 8150 new cars (an increase of 200 percent). For comparison, the Haval result for the same period is 10,014 sold cars (+277 percent), Chery – 5,527 cars (+11 percent), and Lifan, which may soon leave the Russian market – 3,823 units ( -72 percent). The most popular Haval model is the H6 (550 cars), Chery has the Tiggo 4 (351 cars sold), and the Lifan has Solano (56 units).
