Moscow took first place in the world ranking for the size of a car-sharing park. This was reported by the analytical agency “Avtostat”. According to them, at the moment in the capital there are 30 thousand per-minute rental cars.
Most car-sharing cars are listed with Yandex.Drive. This company accounts for more than half of the fleet. The top three also includes Delimobil and BelkaCar.
Earlier, the first place among megacities by the number of cars was occupied by the capital of Japan – Tokyo. In this city, there are just over 20 thousand car-sharing cars. Beijing and Shanghai also fell into the group of leaders, but fleets there do not exceed 20 thousand cars so far.
In Moscow in 2019, car-sharing customers made more than 36 million trips in rented cars. According to the deputy mayor of the capital for transport Maxim Liksutov, this figure is 1.5 times higher than the figures for the whole of 2018.
