Compared to the usual fours, the 70th Anniversary Edition will receive the Aero Racing sports exhaust system and a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine, programmed to boost from 156 to 182 horsepower. The transmission will not change: traction on the rear axle will be transmitted through a five-speed “mechanics” produced by Mazda. Improvements will allow Morgan Plus 4 to win back 0.3-0.4 seconds in acceleration from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour: the starting spurt will take less than seven seconds.
Otherwise, the Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition will not change: the roadster will retain the dashboard in retro style, made of veneer, door cards trimmed with leather, and also get a thin steering wheel with a black satin edging. The list of equipment will include heated seats, lights for the legs and a bonnet trimmed with mohair.
