Authorities predicted a decrease in traffic jams on the Moscow Ring Road. The reason for this will be the commissioning of the Central Ring Road, which will take on freight transport
After the start of movement along the Central Ring Road (TsKAD) on the MKAD, the road situation will improve. This was reported by TASS with reference to the head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Eugene Dietrich. According to him, the opening of the Central Ring Road will “naturally” withdraw trucks from the Moscow Ring Road and unload the highway.
“If part of the traffic goes to the new highway, then traffic jams on the MKAD will naturally decrease,” Dietrich explained. The head of the Ministry of Transport emphasized that it is not planned to ban trucks on the MKAD after the opening of the Central Ring Road. At the moment, heavy truck drivers can go to the Moscow Ring Road from 22:00 to 6:00. In all other cases, machines with a maximum mass of more than 12 tons require a special pass.
