You don’t even have to go to a Mercedes-Benz dealer to see what an EQ model looks like. In Victoriei Square, opposite the Government building, you can experience the electric experience. The most representative Mercedes-EQ models are on display: EQA, EQC, and EQV. And, until October 14, you can participate in various experiences in the Mercedes-EQ Pop-Up Store. Photo: Andrei Toboșaru
Today I visited the Mercedes-EQ Pop-Up Store. It is, in essence, a cool center “east” opposite the Government building, in the parking lot next to the Antipa Museum. A proof that a premium, ultramodern experience can be lived, practically, anywhere, if it is well developed. And Mercedes-Benz knows how to organize events.
First of all, it is positioned in one of the busiest areas of Bucharest, so the visibility is maximum. Then, in the 60 sqm dedicated to the Mercedes-EQ Pop-Up Store, the electric models of the Mercedes-EQ range are exposed, with which you can get in touch effortlessly. Without visiting a dealer. On the way home. And maybe you are lucky to find during the activities and special events organized by the importer.
Mercedes-EQ Pop-Up Store – talks with company officials
That is, exactly as it happened during my visit, when the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Romania, Amanda Zhang and the Sales Director Radu Mocanu, had a relaxed, relaxed meeting with the press.
Conference at Mercedes-EQ Pop-Up Store
Here are some things that might interest you. By 2025, each Mercedes-Benz model will have an electric version. Also, 50% of the company’s sales will be plug-in models. And by 2030, Mercedes-Benz will become a 100% electric brand, where possible. And the premises are that it will be possible in Romania as well.
The charging infrastructure is still weak. But the support given by government measures to companies that create charging stations can change this for the better. Mercedes-Benz is also involved in charging the company’s electric models at home. Thus, through the partnership with Engie, every electric car bought from the German company comes with a free charging station.
Also, all uploads, regardless of the station at which they are made, will soon be able to be paid in a single invoice, using the Mercedes me application. Currently, on the Romanian market, two out of ten Mercedes-Benz cars are electrified, being either fully electric or plug-in hybrid.
Romanians are very receptive to change. So, although they are not yet dedicated to electricity, like the Norwegians, in the future, when there will be no other solutions, they will adapt without problems to this propulsion technology. Especially since the prices of electric cars in 2030 will be comparable to those of conventional cars today.
But you don’t have to wait until then. Just pay a visit to the Mercedes-EQ Pop-Up Store to convince yourself!
