The company Mercedes-Benz revealed the first data on the updated line of E-Class. According to representatives of the brand, the family will have seven hybrid modifications and advanced assistants.

There will not be many external changes – other bumpers, as well as new headlights and lanterns that resemble the optics of the CLS and CLA models. The main improvements relate to the technical equipment of the E-class.

After restyling, the Active Distance Assist system will learn to “see” traffic jams or reduce the flow rate even before the driver notices it, and automatically slow down. The Active Brake Assist function will slow down when there is a risk of a collision with vehicles at an intersection or other intersection.

Improvements will also affect the control of blind spots – now he will be able to track the potential danger during the opening of doors even with the engine turned off. After the update, all-round cameras will show the car from the side.

A new steering wheel with touch control buttons, two 10.25-inch screens of the MBUX multimedia system with voice control and navigation with augmented reality function will appear in the cabin. The last option, as company representatives promise, will be available as standard.

Serious changes are also expected in the motor range. The car will immediately have seven hybrid modifications with gasoline or diesel engines, four of which will be four-wheel drive. Two new traditional ICEs will appear: a two-liter “turbo four” with a capacity of 272 horsepower and a three-liter “turbo six” with a capacity of 367 forces.

The company has not yet talked about the date of the presentation of the updated E-class line, but it is already known that the cars will go on sale in the summer of 2020.

Now E-class sedans are available on the Russian market at a price of 3,300,000 rubles, the most expensive version of the 4Matic Sport will cost 4,920,000 rubles.
