Nissan is developing a plan to exit the alliance with the French concern Renault. This was reported by the Financial Times, citing sources familiar with the situation. According to them, the development of this secret plan was accelerated amid the ongoing scandal with the ex-head of Nissan Carlos Ghosn.
According to unofficial data, Nissan plans to complete the cooperation in production and engineering with Renault. Also, changes in the composition of the board of the Japanese company are not excluded. It is noted that in the event of termination of relations, automakers will have to look for new partners.
In turn, the head of Renault Jean-Dominic Senard hopes to maintain partnership between the companies. It is expected that the top manager in the near future will talk about new joint projects with Nissan.
