Atelier Star Performance showed the upgraded Volkswagen Multivan with a boosted engine, a modified transmission, lowered suspension, reinforced brakes and custom wheels. To ensure continuity with other Volkswagen minivans, the T6 was styled as an anniversary edition of the Edition 25 and adorned with Bulli nameplates.
The basis of the Star Performance project is a deep refinement of the 2.0-liter gas turbo four. By replacing the supercharger and exhaust system, as well as reconfiguring the software, the minders managed to increase the return from 204 horsepower (350 Nm of torque) to 306 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
A 7-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox was retuned to match engine potential. In addition, the German workshop abandoned the standard suspension in favor of KW struts: this allowed to reduce ground clearance and improve road behavior. The image was supplemented by 20-inch five-spoke black wheels, low-profile tires of dimension 255/35 R20 and a more productive brake system with contrasting calipers.
Star Performance turned out to be one of the most powerful Volkswagen minivans, which retained a full-time engine. Some ateliers turn commercial minivans from Wolfsburg into racing monsters, but such mono-cars have impressive performance by replacing the engine and transmission.
