The information that the car company Lincoln and the American startup Rivian have joined forces to develop a joint model has been confirmed. The final product may be a certain “green” crossover

Rumors about the collaboration of Lincoln and Rivian appeared last year. Then it was reported that by the middle of 2022 a certain electric car (presumably a crossover or SUV) would appear in the Lincoln lineup, which would be based on Rivian architecture. In addition, the electric car was predicted and the power plant of the development of an American startup.

The decision to participate in a joint project was a logical step, given that Ford, which owns Lincoln, invested $ 500 million in Rivian. These funds, including those spent on the development of the so-called skateboard platform, which later formed the basis for the R1S SUV and R1T pickup.
