And this is not some full-size sedan, but the usual modest Ypsilon hatchback, built on the Fiat 500 platform. It is quite possible that they want to make Lancia a brand with an emphasis on image, given that the premium core of Stellantis is also made up of DS and Alfa Romeo brands.
We started talking about kernels for a reason – the fact is that the alliance has divided its brands into six segments. For example, Citroen and Fiat will occupy the mass segment, while Maserati will be responsible for the Luxury segment.
