Swedish hypercar maker Koenigsegg will show off the Mission 500 prototype at the Geneva Motor Show next spring. Its goal is to surpass the Bugatti Chiron
TheSupercarBlog, citing its sources, reports that the record hypercar will be built on the basis of Jesko. It is possible that this will be one of the two-door versions, with a different body kit, a modernized engine and a recalibrated “robot” Light Speed Transmission (LST) with eight multi-plate clutches in an oil bath. However, any details will appear only after the presentation.
Interestingly, the regular Koenigsegg Jesko is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 with two turbochargers with ceramic bearings and an additional air supply system to eliminate the turbolag. When using conventional fuel, the output of the unit is 1280 horsepower, bioethanol E85 – 1600 forces
