Kia Seltos will transfer to electric traction

Kia is working on an electric version of the Seltos crossover and has almost built a prototype. According to IndianAutosBlog, a novelty will be equipped with a power plant from Hyundai Kona Electric. In the Indian market, the electric Kona is offered with a 136-horsepower engine delivering 395 Nm of torque and a traction battery with a capacity of 39.2 kWh. Certified by the Indian Automobile Research Association (ARAI), the Kona Electric has a 452 km range.

In other world markets Hyundai Kona Electric is offered with a 204-horsepower electric motor and a 64 kWh battery. From zero to 100 km / h, the top version of the crossover accelerates in 7.6 seconds. Cruising range is 482 km in the WLTP cycle.

Whether this modification will be in Seltos is not yet known. It is expected that the initial circulation of the electric crossover will be 10 thousand copies.
