The new Kia EV6 electric model is enjoying success just before its commercial debut. On the European market, the new electric model received 7,300 reservations from potential customers.
The newest electric model in the Korean brand’s portfolio, Kia EV6, has aroused huge interest from potential customers. Kia says it has received over 33,000 potential requests, of which 7,300 are firm reservations.
Commercial success for the Kia EV6
For Kia, the figures mean 300% of the sales plan for the EV6 model on the European market. Customers can now order the model from the local dealer, initially reservations being made exclusively online. Production of the new electric model will begin in mid-2021.
Kia EV6 uses the E-GMP platform, common with the newly launched Hyundai Ioniq 5 model. Thus, the new Kia model uses the 800 V architecture and can be charged at fast stations up to 220 kW. The E-GMP platform allows the use of a 77.4 kWh or 58 kWh battery. The front is dominated by a plunger hood and LED headlights that frame the new Kia logo. At the back we have a single LED strip that stretches the length of the tailgate.
The top version uses two electric motors that will provide a total of 585 hp. This version will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds.
