Following the advent of spy photos, Kia has published official teasers and some information about the next-generation flagship Sorento crossover. The public premiere of the car will be held March 3, 2020 as part of the Geneva Motor Show.
Kia noted that Sorento will be the first model of the brand created on a completely new platform. The chassis was designed “to provide the best roominess and practicality in the cabin compared to not only competitors, but also to cars of a class higher”.
Kia also officially confirmed that the next Sorento will receive the first modification with a hybrid powerplant, which is expected to include a two-liter gasoline unit. In addition, the engine lineup will include a 2.5-liter aspirated, 2.0 and 2.5 liter turbo engines, as well as a 2.2-liter diesel.
