The official presentation of the mid-size crossover GV80 of the Korean premium brand Genesis took place. The car will reach the Russian market
As for the design, the design manager of the concern, Luke Donkerwolke, known for the authorship of the crossover Bentley Bentayga, noted that the new identifier for all Genesis cars will be the front design stylized as the brand logo: a radiator grille repeating the heraldic shield and “wing” headlights. In addition to the head optics in the GV80, it is also reproduced in the taillights, the decoration of the front wings and the interior.
From a technical point of view, the car is built on a rear-wheel drive platform with a longitudinal engine, which is also used at the base of the G70, G80 and G90. The basic versions will have a rear axle drive, more advanced ones – permanent all-wheel drive with electronic imitation of the rear differential lock, which helps maintain the trajectory in high-speed turns. Engines for the GV80 are a 3.0-liter turbodiesel (278 hp, 578 Nm) and gasoline 2.5-liter (304 hp, 422 Nm) and a 3.5-liter (380 hp) 530 Nm). Gearbox – 7-speed “robot” with two clutches.
