Nissan-owned Infiniti Reveals Details of New Development Strategy That Means Cost Reduction And Optimization
Infiniti leaves the entire European region for better development in North America, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, China and Russia. In 2019, the brand announced its withdrawal from the Western European market, as for 11 years it has not achieved success in this part of the planet.
All new Infiniti models will only be built on Nissan platforms. This decision was influenced by the failed sales of Q30 / QX30 hatchbacks developed on the basis of the Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover. Future brand new products will receive their own design, more expensive finishes and an e-Power hybrid powerplant, which is equipped with the new Nissan. Until the end of 2020, two Infiniti models will debut. The first to declassify the coupe-like version of the crossover QX50, which will receive the QX55 index. Then there will be a seven-seater QX60 second generation, built on the basis of the new Nissan Pathfinder.
