Audi operated a software update for the e-tron 55 quattro electric model, which increased its range by 20 kilometers.
Audi has released a software update for e-tron electric models manufactured in 2019 or 2020. It can be installed at Audi partner service centers and improves the net battery capacity, thus increasing autonomy.
Audi e-tron 55 four
The Audi e-tron 55 quattro uses a 95 kWh battery, which now offers a net capacity of 86 kWh, compared to 83.6 kWh before. The increase in usable capacity translates into a greater range of 20 kilometers. The official range is now 441 kilometers.
The Audi e-tron 55 quattro model has a combined power of the two 408 hp electric motors. The maximum torque offered is 664 Nm, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 200 km / h.
Audi has also modified the system that controls the two electric motors. To increase efficiency, in normal running mode, the electric motor on the front axle will be stopped and disconnected most of the time (except when the car needs more power). The software update also improves the temperature management system for the propulsion system components.
The software upgrade is free and can be installed on any Audi service.
