The Euro 6 environmental class has finally entered into legal force in Russia.
Harmful carbon dioxide emissions in this class are reduced to 130 grams per 1 kilometer. Experts also argue that the fuel corresponding to this class has improved operational properties and prevents the accumulation of deposits in the engine.
In Russia, no measures are currently envisaged for vehicles whose Euro-5 or lower class is expected. There are no new requirements for gas stations. Experts believe that Euro-6 is a class that is required only for international freight traffic, there is no need for it inside the country.
It is known that it is already possible to buy fuel corresponding to Euro-6 at some gas stations of Lukoil and Rosneft.
Going to gas stations at Euro 6 is quite difficult. In the next few years, such tasks are not facing them.
Also, the country’s authorities will not stimulate automobile manufacturers, which are much easier to transfer products to a new class.
