A new type of underground car parks will appear in Moscow – they will be equipped with mechanized two-level lifts. The sites for launching the pilot project will be selected in March 2020.
The pilot project is held by the Technodinamika holding, which is owned by Rostec state corporation. The new parking system will use a two-level elevator P-100 and a puzzle parking SNM-100 – a rack with built-in mobile slots for cars.
Such a system will increase the standard parking capacity by three times without increasing the area. So far, sites for launching a pilot project have not been defined – they will be called only in March 2020, but it is already known that up to 15 percent of underground parking facilities will be equipped with such systems.
According to the company, all parking slots are equipped with airtight pallets, which will ensure the safety of cars in the lower tier – no technical fluids, as well as dirt, water and reagents, will get into them.
In July last 2019, it became known that multi-level robotic parking lots will appear in the suburbs. As planned, the cars will stand on special racks in separate slots so that any of them can be removed at any time.
First of all, such parking lots are planned to be built near railway stations, offices and large residential complexes. The list of priority cities includes Krasnogorsk, Khimki, Balashikha and Lyubertsy. If negotiations are successful, the first project can be launched in the summer of 2020.
