The modern version of the GAZ-M20 “Victory” was built by a group of Ukrainian mechanics. The basis of the replica was the Mercedes-Benz CL500 coupe, from which the “Soviet two-door” got the chassis, power units and interior. The appearance of the “Victory” was answered by designer Mikhail Kotov. In his work, he was not inspired by the original car, but by the modern trends of automotive fashion. All body parts are made manually of fiberglass.
The interior is completely borrowed from the donor Mercedes-Benz CL500, which involves leather trim, electric and heated seats, climate control, cruise control, a multimedia system with a touchscreen, rain and light sensors.
Under the hood, Pobeda has a 5.0-liter V8 engine with about 300 hp. from the same Mercedes-Benz CL500. Paired with the engine, an automatic transmission is working. For a comfortable ride meets the standard for the German coupe height-adjustable air suspension.
