The institution cites several reasons for changing evacuation rates. Firstly, this is the increase in city expenses for fuel for tow trucks, their repair and for salaries for drivers and technicians. Secondly, this is inflation and the recalculation of the economically reasonable price of a service, which will amount to 8813 rubles in 2020. Thus, the tariff for the most common category of cars in the capital is 40 percent less than the actual amount that the city spends on moving one car parked not according to the rules.
Today, 750-800 tow trucks operate in Moscow. The State traffic inspectorate does not specify how many cars per day they move to fine parking, but it is known that in 2016 this figure reached 850 cars per day, and in 2015 reached 900 cars. From January to September 2019, 204,578 vehicles were transported to penal parking lots, 80 thousand of which were for stopping or parking at pedestrian crossings and closer than five meters in front of them.
