Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento will switch to electric traction during the year

Korean Hyundai Motor Group plans to significantly expand the share of electrified models by 2025. Over five years, the Hyundai-Kia lineup will be replenished with 13 moderate hybrids, six benzo-electric versions with the ability to charge from the network, 23 electric vehicles using traditional batteries and two electric vehicles powered by hydrogen fuel.

Hybrid versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe, Tuscon and fourth-generation Kia Sorento will hit the market by 2020. Emilio Herrera, head of the Kia Motors European subsidiary, stressed that the new Sorento will have at least two electrified versions, and one modification can be recharged from the outlet.
