TheKoreanCarBlog shared new details about the second production crossover of the premium South Korean brand. According to the resource, the Genesis GV70 cross-coupe will be larger than the Hyundai Santa Fe crossover, but smaller than the Hyundai Tucson. In the market, the new product will have to compete for a customer with the German “troika” BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
The Genesis GV70 was designed in the same way as the larger GV80, which debuted earlier this year. In particular, crossovers have a similar two-level front and rear optics.
According to preliminary information, the Genesis GV70 motor range is borrowed from the “older” brother. It will include a 2.5-liter “turbo four” Theta III (304 hp., 421 Nm) and a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 (380 forces, 530 Nm). Both gasoline engines will work in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic. No diesel modification is expected in the cross-coupe, while the GV80 will be available in Europe with a 2.2-liter 210 hp diesel engine. (441 Nm).
More information about the new product will appear closer to the premiere.
