Has your car also started to rattle the hood on bumps? Then this advice from a seasoned motorist will definitely come in handy.
Many cars have unregulated bonnet stops. For example, there are four on Duster. Over time, the rubber dries up, the hood gets “freedom of movement” and begins to rumble on bumps. And so much that you think – is it not running?
The stops do not have to be changed.
I propose to cut thin rings 1-3 mm thick (depending on the backlash) from a soft hose with a diameter of 16–20 mm and make a cut on each.
We lift the upper part of the rubber stop and put on the cut washer on the neck of this “fungus”. By selecting the washers of the desired thickness, the gap can be completely eliminated.
