The coronavirus pandemic has already made adjustments to the Formula 1 racing calendar. Now she has reached other significant events, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This festival is held annually at Goodwood House (UK), starting in 1993. Luxurious sports cars, motorcycles and historic Formula 1 cars flock to him from all over the world. The event consists of a “Moving Motor Show” and the main races. This year, the Festival of Speed was to be held from July 9 to 12, but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers decided to postpone it to a later date.
The organizers have not yet announced a new date for the festival, as they are studying the calendar of world sporting events. Most likely it will take place this fall. They also clarified that tickets purchased for the event will remain valid on the new date, so they do not need to be returned.
“Over the past few weeks, we have been considering the possibility of holding a Speed Festival on a scheduled date. But due to the uncertainty regarding the threat of coronavirus and not knowing whether the situation would improve by then, we, unfortunately, had to postpone it. But these dramatic times will pass and we will definitely meet with you and enjoy the Festival in its entirety, ”said Duke Richmond, owner of the Goodwood Estate.
